'Tis the season..

...to go shopping!! So it's kind of tradition to hit the sales, but i prefer hitting the sales from behind my laptop screen. That way I don't have to do with the pushing and shoving. If I do visit the sales, it is usually midday and not at 5am, yeah people really go to the sales at 5am. I don't think I've ever been out of my bed at 5 am, never mind going into town at 5! Anyway, I did go into town midday, and there was still pushing and shoving so I didn't stay long. I bought a few goodies from Boots, and a dress. I finished my shopping online and my order has been dispatched and should be with me on Thursday. I'll share my sale goodies with you all in a later post. But for now, since it's the shopping season, I came across a few wintry suits which I might order.  They are by one of my favourite designers, Gul Ahmed. Here goes...

I love the bold colours on the design on the left, I also love the wintery vibes it gives off. The blue suit is one of those that can be dressed up or down, but I think it the candy colours are more suitable for the winter. However, the fabric is quite thick.

I just love both the colours and designs on both of these. I also love how the designs are so elegant, the elegant designs are something which make Gul Ahmed different and stand out. I heart Gul Ahmed clothes!

They are all sooo beautiful, I'm spoilt for choice. Here is a close up snap of some of the above designs.

I am sure they are bound to be more beautiful, the photos don't do justice to their beauties ;-) So the question is, which would you buy and which do you drop off the wish list? x

A little something

As you all have probably guessed by now, I am a creative person. I LOVE ART! My little sister bought a set containing scratch and sketch masks. The set was of Masquerade theme, so it contained some nicely shaped masks which you had to sketch on top of to reveal colour underneath. It also contained coloured gems. I kind of nicked one, and set off to make something out of it. Since it was 'nicked' I didn't have the little plastic pencil, to scratch and sketch with, so I improvised, and used a cocktail stick instead :-D I think it was better than the original pencil, as it was more sharper, so the designs was more enhanced. Anyway this is what I came up with.

Excuse the, not so there, quality of the photo!
Although it was a little tricky in places, I was quite satisfied with the finishing results  Which I improved with the addition of glitter and some gems, out of which some decided to go walkabouts :-/

It was much better in real life :-/

It was a very fragile arty creation, because the slip of the pen, cocktail stick in this case, ruined the whole concept of the design. I went on to use this 'mask' as a bookmark, but it kind of wore out. Needless to say it was very pretty and got a lot of oohs and aahs :) If I was to nick another, I think I would improve the quality of it, since I speak from experience now :-P It required a lot of patience and precision, accuracy is key, as I said before the slip of the pen could ruin the whole thing! Anyway, I quite enjoyed doing this and would love to do it again! x

I'm back :-D

Yeah, I'm baaaaack!?! That's three down and another 4 to go. And then Oh Crap...3rd year. We all know what that entails, more work? I should hopefully update my blog more often now. Anyway, we should be breaking up for Christmas come Friday  and I will get a month off. But I have plans..to start my revision preparations quite well ahead of time. I'm only saying this but will probably end up procrastinating and then writing up notes a week before Exams, I know myself toooo well.

Anyway, the cold weather is so miserable. It's been raining, with gusts of wind, it's been hailing, foggy, icy...need I go on? So the warm socks and slippers have come out as has my pom pom blanket :-)
But, wait for it...

Christmas spirits in the air! Everything is so beautifully decorated, full of lights and colour. This means there should be some late nights shopping in town, and when have I said no shopping?

I really need to catch up with movies, that have been watched while I've been writing up my assignments. Every weekend, we usually spend watching movies in the evening and getting all cozy with maybe a hot chocolate or coffee. But lately, I've spent my weekends alone. Stuck in a room on my own, working! Yes, Working! So I've missed out on some movie time with the family :-( But hopefully, I should be watching a movie with them on the weekend. Sometimes we go through 2 movies in a night :-D good times, eh.

Some of the movies we've watched include Snow White and the Huntsmen, Smiley, When the lights go off, Ted...I could go on and on, but I'll spare you. We just kind of giggle through the scary ones because they're more hilariously unrealistic than 'scary'. While we were watching 'when the lights go off', we spotted our  town quite a bit. It looks as if the movie was made down the road from me! Anyway, it was a good film based on a true story, as I did my research after :-) it's based on a real haunted house in Hull. I wonder what we'll watch this weekend? Hmm, better get my thinking cap on, any suggestions?  : ) x
